North East
In the North East region 984 residents, visitors, volunteers and on-site staff cast their votes for the Awards. They represent 70 developments, schemes, courts and estates managed by 16 housing providers.
Regional housing provider Karbon Homes leads the field in the Retirement Housing category with no less than 3 awards, two of them Golds. Fellow successful regionals are North Star and Castles & Coasts. Congratulations all! For the national providers Anchor Hanover makes a very strong showing, followed by Housing & Care 21’s Carew Court in Cramlington.
Housing-with-Care features strongly in the North East, and this is reflected in the North East Awards. Residents, visitors and staff at North Star’s Aspen Gardens estate in Stockton were amongst the most active voters in the country, and won them a Gold. Housing & Care 21 scooped 3 awards, with North Star and Your Homes Newcastle one each.
