Yorkshire & The Humber
In Yorks & Humber 2,081 residents, visitors, volunteers and on-site staff cast votes for the places where they live, visit or work in. These include 106 developments, schemes, courts and estates managed by 31 housing providers.
Votes in the region were concentrated in a smaller number of schemes than elsewhere, with the result that a record 39 schemes will receive regional Awards, based on the numbers of votes they received.
Two local retirement housing providers shone in the eyes of voters – Bradford Tradesmens Homes and Berneslai Homes. National providers featuring in the awards list are Housing & Care 21, Anchor Hanover, Sanctuary, Places for People, McCarthy & Stone and Guinness Partnership.
Yorks & Humber boats a number of housing-with-care providers and schemes, and fared well in this category. Successful national providers include Housing & Care 21, Anchor Hanover, Guinness, MHA, Places for People, Sanctuary and Pilgrims’ Friend Society. Winning indigenous regional providers are Abbeyfield The Dales Society and Yorkshire Housing.
